As the new season approaches, in an attempt to get ‘match fit’ Barnsley Chess club held an all play all 5 minute tournament o the 27th of September. 9 players took part and the result was in doubt going into the final round. A win for Richard D and Gary and a loss for Richard H determined the final result. Richard D 7/8 Gary 6.5/8 Richard H 6/8.
The following week Martin organised a 5 round Swiss tournament with 10 players. However this time the result was not in doubt as Pete finished on 5/5 with Gary and Richard H on 3.5/5. Credit to Shane who finished on 3, drawing with both Gary and Richard and to new player Chris who also finished on 3.
