Last night saw the final match of the online league against a useful Darnall side end in a 2-2 draw. This ensured we finished above Hillsborough and avoided the wooded spoon in a very strong league. Thanks to the lads who have gawped at their computer screens for a few hours every two weeks, then joined in on the lichess chat-room and shared banter afterwards. At this stage it is unsure whether another on-line team will be entered but it has been a tonic whilst being a substitute for OTB chess during the pandemic. I am sure I speak for all those who have participated in offering a huge thanks to those on the league exec team who made this possible. Pete
