Out graded on all boards Barnsley C lost 3.5-1.5 to Nomads D who won three boards and drew the other board. The result leaves Barnsley C in third place in the division four table

A strong Chesterfield B team out graded Barnsley B on all boards to win 4-2 by drawing the top four boards and winning the bottom two boards to gain promotion in a hard fought match.  Barnsley C remain in third position in Sheffield division 3.

Barnsley C and Woodseats D drew their match 3-3 with each team scoring three wins. This draw means that Barnsley C are in joint second / third places in the Sheffield division four table.

University A defaulted this top of the table clash.The also lost a further league point for not allowing 48 hours notice of the default. This leaves Barnsley A top of division two with three games to play and a five points lead over University and Nomads B who have yet to play each other.  

Barnsley C continued their winning ways with a 4.5-1.5 home victory over Hillsborough C winning the top four boards and drawing and losing the bottom two boards. Barnsley C are second in division four, two and three points clear of the third and fourth placed teams.

Barnsley were gifted the Doncaster League Championship the previous night when Barnby Dun and Dons drew their match. In the last match of the Doncaster League Barnsley won 4-1 losing the top board but winning the four remaining boards. Although losing two games on the top board Barnsley managed a convincing 3-7 away victory against Three Horseshoes. Barnsley Need to win their last  game against Barnby Dun to win the Maurice Kent Rapidplay Trophy.

Nomads C defaulted bottom board which cost them the match. Both teams managed two wins and a draw each. This win keeps Barnsley C in a mid table position in Sheffield division 3.
